On Thursday, October 16th 2014, The Belvedere Academy hosted its biennial Careers Fair. A record turnout of Year 9 to 13 students attended along with their parents and over 40 employers were present.

A record-breaking 568 Year 6 pupils applied for places at Belvedere.

Up and coming boy band ‘Misunderstood’ entertained Years 8 and 9 on Tuesday 23rd September performing a selection of their latest hits. However, the main reason why they visited the Academy was to re-enforce the message that is delivered consistently to all students about staying safe online and the negative effects of cyberbullying.

After another busy year filled with deadlines and revision, Belvedere has yet again achieved a fantastic set of results.

Due to the removal of January modules, this exam period was arguably the most difficult in recent years, especially for last year’s Year 11 who had to sit around 20 exams in two months! Despite this, their results exceeded expectations:

Belvedere has a long history of sending girls to both Oxford and Cambridge and this year is certainly no exception. Annie May-Walsh (A* A* A) and Paula Wulff (A* A* A* A* A) both accepted places at the University of Cambridge to study Natural Sciences, which is an exceptional achievement and something we, as an academy, are very proud of.

On Tuesday evening, our Year 8, 9 and 10 rounders teams took part in the Liverpool City Finals at Calderstones where the top four teams in the district play each other. Our Year 8 team were crowned Liverpool City Rounders Champions.  Congratulations to everyone who took part.
