With such an action-packed term, where our students have really excelled, it was decided to have an Awards Assembly to recognise the great successes of this year, so far.
The dining room is open from 8:00am and serves breakfast. At break time, the dining room serves a selection of hot and cold snacks and drinks. At lunch time, there are two sittings: 12:15pm and 12:40pm.
The academy operates a cashless system and purchases are made via the students' lunch card which will need to be pre-loaded. The cards can be topped up either using the cash loaders in school or online using ParentPay.
The academy encourages parents to pay for lunch card top-ups, trips etc using the ParentPay secure website. ParentPay is easy to use and offers you the freedom to make on-line payments whenever and wherever you want. Further details of the ParentPay system may be found in the Parents - Finance section of the academy’s website.
Free School Meals Entitlement
If you are in receipt of certain means tested benefits, your daughter may be eligible to receive free school meals. Please contact The Finance Office for more details if necessary. We would encourage all parents who may qualify for this entitlement to apply and claim their full entitlement. The academy, like all schools, now receives part of its main funding allocation (Pupil Premium) based on the number of students entitled to receive free school meals (circa £900 in additional funding per student). This additional funding is obviously very important to the academy in its aim to continue to provide first class facilities and a high quality education for all of its students.
If you believe that you may qualify for this entitlement, application forms are available from your local One Stop Shop. Students who are entitled to receive free school meals will be issued with a cashless system smart card and their free school meal allocation will be automatically added to their card by the Finance Office. If students eligible for free school meals wish to purchase food or drinks at break times, parents need to top up using ParentPay. If you wish to pay cash, please contact the Finance Office to request the option of paying via PayPoint at local convenience stores displaying the PayPoint logo.
