News from the Year 7 Lockerbie trip...
The Belvedere School has had an outstanding reputation for excellence in girls’ education in Liverpool and beyond for over 130 years. The Academy has built on both this heritage and the rich traditions of the school.
We admit an all ability intake in Year 7 from across Liverpool and its surrounding areas and are hugely oversubscribed each year. Despite this increased range of abilities we have retained our outstanding examination results, ethos and high expectations, with each girl expected to have "personal best" as a consistent goal.
All our students benefit from a diversity of exciting educational opportunities in an exceptional setting which combines five Victorian villas and their gardens with a purpose built new extension which contains state-of-the-art facilities in several curriculum areas including performing arts, modern foreign languages and science.
In 2010, Ofsted judged The Belvedere Academy to be "outstanding" saying that “...the core values of Belvedere have been maintained in the last three years” and that "standards are exceptionally high.”
Ofsted inspectors returned in January 2015 and once again delivered an "outstanding" verdict on all aspects of the academy, including the sixth form, stating that, once again, "high standards have been maintained."
Lord Adonis has referred to Belvedere as “Inspirational” as well as being “A National Beacon,” and The Good Schools Guide said, “Now the school everyone wants their daughter to go to in Liverpool.”
I hope you enjoy our website where you can learn more about the unique educational experience and opportunities offered by Belvedere, the first independent school in England to become an academy.
