Welcome from the Principal
“It is my privilege to lead The Belvedere Academy as it continues to grow. Pupils who attend this school can be assured that they will quickly feel part of a supportive community; in addition, they will be stretched both in their academic work and in their extra-curricular experiences. Ultimately, they will develop into skilled young people ready to accept the challenges of the twenty-first century.”

The Girls' Day School Trust
The Belvedere Academy is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust, the UK’s leading family of 25 girls’ schools including 23 independent schools and two academies. All GDST schools provide empowering environments where girls learn without limits.
An unforgettable and vital day at school.
We were lucky to welcome Paul Hannaford (@paulhannaford) to speak with our students. Paul delivered his powerful, hard-hitting life story to our Sixth Formers, followed by an impactful, tailored workshop for some of our younger students.
Paul is one of the UK’s most prominent awareness speakers. Drawing directly from his own lived experiences, he delivers raw and honest accounts of the devastating realities of gang culture, knife crime, drug addiction, and prison life. Over the last decade, he has spoken to hundreds of thousands of young people, dedicating his life to steering them away from crime and helping them make safe, positive life choices.
The Gym was captivated and the impact of his message will undoubtedly stay with our Sixth Form students for a very long time.
A massive thank you, Paul, for your honesty, your time and the invaluable lessons you shared with our school community.

Looking for a good book to get lost in this summer? We have you covered! These top book recommendations by Year group span a variety of genres, from romance to dystopia. There’s bound to be something here to suit all tastes.
Reading is a ‘slow’ activity. It requires you to relax, reset and focus. And once you get into the story, time moves at a different pace as you sink deeper into another world.
Grab a great book, a drink and find somewhere to sit - your garden, the beach or under a tree in the park. Give yourself permission to lose yourself in a book this summer.

🌳 A massive thank you to the Friends of Princes Park (@friendsofprincespark )! 🌳
Our Eco Committee had the absolute pleasure of getting a guided tour around our lovely local park recently. We were incredibly impressed by the wealth of knowledge shared with us, and we are so grateful for the time, care, and dedication that goes into maintaining such a wonderful green space for our community. 💚
At Belvedere, we are incredibly lucky to have this beautiful gem right on our doorstep and so close to home. It’s a wonderful reminder of how fortunate we are as residents of Liverpool to have such fantastic, vibrant parks to enjoy throughout the summer. Huge thanks to @lpoolcitycouncil for their continued work in keeping our city’s green spaces thriving! ☀️🌿
Thank you again to the volunteers for taking the time out of your day to meet with our students and share your expertise. We left feeling incredibly inspired! ✨

Borneo: Part Two 🌴
Our adventure continues deeper into the rainforest. Here is what we’ve been up to over the last few days:
Jungle Camp: Sleeping under the canopy and experiencing the rainforest firsthand.
Giving Back: Getting stuck into tree planting to help local reforestation efforts.
On the Water: A river boat journey with plenty of wild monkey spotting along the banks.
Conservation: Visiting the incredible orangutan sanctuary.
As always, our students have been a complete credit to themselves, their families and Belvedere, taking every new experience in their stride.

⚖️ All Rise! ⚖️
Towards the end of the Summer Term, our Year 9 GCSE Citizenship students stepped into the courtroom to reenact a gripping criminal court case!
The jury listened closely to the arguments from both the prosecution and defense, carefully examined the witness evidence and ultimately delivered a guilty verdict.
It was a hands-on day that inspired our students to look toward future careers in the legal sector. Huge thanks to @manmetlaw for helping inspire the next generation of legal minds! 🙌
Though after seeing how sharp our students were, even the teachers are considering a career change!
