The above means that, on average, each pupil in Years 7 and 8 should receive approximately 40-60 minutes of homework to do each evening. In Year 9, this increases to 60-90 minutes each evening.
Please note that homework should not be set and then expected to be handed in the next day. Also, at KS3, please refrain from setting homework tasks during holiday periods.
All parents should be able to view their child's homework via the Class Charts Parent App.

| Science | 2 x 30 minutes | 2 x 30 minutes |
| MFL | 1 x 30 minutes | 1 x 30 minutes |

The above means that, on average, each pupil in Years 10 and 11 should receive approximately 60-90 minutes of homework to do each evening.
Years 12 and 13 (Sixth Form)
In Sixth Form, we would expect each pupil to undertake an additional 1 hour’s worth of work (this includes homework plus independent study) every day in each of their subjects outside of their timetabled lessons. This equates to approximately 3 hours of additional study each day. Please bear in mind that pupils have at least 2 hours during the school day when they have a ‘free’ period.
