Home Academy Partnership

The home academy relationship is vital and we work very hard to build a strong relationship with our parents.  We endeavour to communicate effectively with parents and here are some of the ways we do this:

  • Regular updates providing information on events, and activities on recent progress within the academy, as well as celebrating the achievements of our students.
  • The academy website - www.belvedereacademy.net
  • Half-termly newsletter
  • Regular grade cards and a full written report each academic year.
  • An initial Year 7 Tutor based Parents’ Evening in the first term, followed by a full Parents’ Evening later in the year.
  • Principal’s letters
  • Termly E-Zine
  • Parental Forum

Parental Forum

The Parental Forum is a chance to hear about what is happening in the academy and to have your say.  All parents are welcome to join the meetings and to contribute ideas.

EAL

At Belvedere, we pride ourselves in supporting students from all backgrounds. We are aware that students who do not speak English as a first language face additional barriers when accessing the curriculum, lesson materials, and additional opportunities. It is of the utmost importance to us that our EAL students feel supported and welcomed within our school community.

Our EAL Coordinator, Miss Potel, leads and oversees support for all EAL students across the school. Here you will find information about the support students receive in school, along with helpful resources for families to use at home to support the development of English language skills.

Support for EAL students

We offer two weekly Enrichment sessions for students who need additional EAL support. Sessions take place on Wednesday mornings during form time in the library and on Thursdays after school from 3:10 - 3:45pm in G75. During these sessions, students receive targeted support and use FlashAcademy®, an interactive programme designed to develop vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English.

If you feel that your child could benefit from practicing reading, writing, or spoken English, then please contact our EAL Coordinator, Miss Potel, to arrange for them to attend via info@belvedereacademy.net.

Welcome to High School - Vaccinations in Y8/Y9

We are here to help you and your child navigate their education journey.
