Secondary School Life
Years 7-11
Life at Belvedere is busy and fast paced. We have five one hour lessons a day delivered over a two week timetable. Break comes after Lesson 2 and lunch and Lesson 4 happen at different times depending on what year group you are in.
We have two wonderful dining spaces which offer a wide range of food which our dedicated Belvedere catering team cook onsite every day.
We value all subject areas at Belvedere. Maths, English and Science are central. Students will study one language in depth to enable them to master either French or Spanish and be confident in its use. Humanities subjects enable our students to develop their world knowledge and practice skills of discussion and debate. The arts are so important at Belvedere and all pupils study drama, music, art, textiles, food technology and PE. Computing and IT courses are constantly updated to reflect developments globally as is PSHE and Citizenship. All of this is designed to engage and excite our students and is delivered by enthusiastic subject specialists.
We work hard to ensure all our students belong and our enrichment and opportunities programme includes whole academy events as well as bespoke clubs and trips. All trips include a careers element so that our students are able to understand a huge range of professions to develop their aspirations for the future.
