Years 7-11

belvedere school liverpool

Time at school has to be exciting, engaging, stretching and supportive.

Between Year 7 and Year 11, our students  grow from being children into young women and as they enter our Sixth Form, we want them to be able to look back on these five years with pride and a feeling of satisfaction that they have been enabled and encouraged to do their very best.

At Belvedere, we offer a diverse and exciting curriculum covering all core subjects, all humanities subjects, two modern foreign languages, as well as the full range of sciences and arts subjects.

At Key Stage 3, all our pupils study computing, art, drama, music, food technology and textiles weekly until the end of Year 9.

All our Key Stage 3 subjects are delivered at Key Stage 4 either as GCSEs or vocational qualifications. The range of subjects is extended at this point to also include: IT, Computing, Child Development, Health and Social Care, Hospitality and Catering, Media Studies, Business Studies and Sociology.

Enrichment is also central to Belvedere life with a wide range of opportunities within the timetable enabling all pupils to participate. Our bespoke RISE programme (Repeaters, Inclusive Teams, Stress Busters and Energisers) ensures that all our pupils understand the value of and enjoy physical activity and play.

All our subject teachers are subject specialists – Belvedere is a popular place to work and we have some of the leading subject teachers in Liverpool who are committed to sharing that love of learning with their pupils.

Throughout the ups and downs of academic learning… the successes and the failures, our wonderful Pastoral Team are ready to guide and celebrate our pupils to remove barriers to success.
